Selection Process

The Human Resources Services & Development Canda (HRSDC) requires every employer to place an Ad with the Canada Job Bank for 14 days prior to hiring someone from overseas. We will post the Ad on your behalf. Once the 14 days are up and you have not found a suitable candidate for your family, here are the steps that we are going to take to start the process: http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/

To post an advertisement, you need to have a Canada Revenue Agency Business Number (Payroll Deduction Account) from Revenue Canada. You may can 1-800-959-5525 and let them know that you need a business number for having a nanny.

If you have decided to hire someone from overseas, here is the following steps needed to achieve the nanny of your choice.

To start off, you must describe your family and their needs. This shall make the process easier to choose a nanny that will be able to comfortably adapt to your specific living styles. By doing so, we will then send you 3-5 resumes to peruse and assess their background and personality. Should you want to discuss with us about each person, please feel free to connect with us. After you have decided which nannies you would like to get to know better we can then schedule interview times. Most of the prospective nannies are available for interview on Saturday nights Eastern Standard Time (EST) from 9-11pm since Hong Kong is 12 hours ahead of our time and Sundays are mostly their only day off from their employer. Our staff will be on standby before, during and after the interviews in the event that changes would occur or if you will need assistance.

The candidates will be informed that they have prospective employers who would be interested to interview them. They however will not be provided with any information about you and your family. Our goal for not giving them information is so they will provide you with genuine answers about themselves. It is important that they will provide you with answers they have not prepared the day before.  This will help you know if the nanny is the right one for you family. Our main goal is for a connection to be obtained between you and your nanny of choice.
